"Refuse to be average; let your heart soar as high as it will."
How have we become who we are today? Influential individuals we have met, memorable occurrences we have been a part of, important places we have visited - each strand of experience shaping us into the person that we are at this moment. At Be Robin Hood, we strive to positively influence those around us by our actions. Whether we want to or not, we all affect the people we are affiliated with, directly or indirectly. BRH could not be here, if we weren't fortunate enough to form relationships with likeminded individuals that have agreed to help us with our goal. The companies you see below, all share the same yearning desire to make a difference in this world that we live in. Please, read up on these altruistic companies and let them not only encourage, but also inspire you to put your best foot forward and take the next step to being Robin Hood.

"We were sitting in my living room, holding these recycled casings when it clicked", stated HU co-founder, Carmin Black. "These casings will be a representation of our fight against hunger! Every time a customer purchases a 'Fighting Hunger' necklace they are peacefully fighting hunger all over the world."
Not long after HU was founded they were searching for a symbol of our customer's FIGHT against global hunger. Having little money to work with, the HU team looked for something that could be recycled that would present a powerful message. That's when a friend donated a handful of recycled bullet casings, suggesting that they may be able to use them in their jewelry design.

Market Colors |
|
Market Colors was started because founder Lizzie Randazzo believed where we shop can make a difference. It was founded to make a lasting impact for families throughout Africa. God called her to this type of ministry over several visits to Africa. They work with men and women in areas of Africa and India that are at risk for abuse, trafficking, and extreme poverty in order to design and create amazing products with purpose.
|
“I spent days with widows anxious over whether they could give their kids food that day because they hadn’t sold many of their handmade products at the market. I don’t say that to pull at your heartstrings, but because it’s the truth. Together, we can change that - not for everyone in Africa, but for many.” - Founder Lizzie Randazzo
Market Colors collaborates with these craftsmen to create products that they know you will love. They are high-quality and beautiful and it truly would be a disservice to not tell the world about the craftsmen's amazing work. They exist to make a difference in the lives of craftsmen throughout the world. Where you shop makes a difference.

United By Blue |
|
United By Blue’s team have always been passionate about the ocean and the waterways that lead them there. UBB was founded in 2010, driven by the idea of associating the sale of each product with a concrete environmental action. For every product sold, United By Blue removes one pound of trash from oceans and waterways through company organized and hosted cleanups.

“We're inspired by the go-getters, the landscape around the waters we clean, and a really good cup of pour over coffee. We are endlessly putting in that extra effort to make sure our apparel and accessories are not only made responsibly, but also durable for that next great adventure.”
In September of 2013, UBB opened their flagship store and coffeehouse in Old City, Philadelphia at 144 N. 2nd Street in an early 1900s building. Using repurposed materials, they created a space that mixes their complete line of apparel and accessories with a full-fledged coffeehouse serving up some of the city's finest organic coffee and food. An outdoor apparel brand located in Philadelphia is something you don't often hear, but they’re happy to start changing that mindset.

MudLOVE |
|
In the Fall of 2009, wheels were turning. (Potter’s wheels, that is.) Inside of a tiny garage, big dreams were becoming a reality. With nothing more than an old stamp set, a box of clay, and a plan to support clean water projects in Africa, handmade creations emerged and MudLOVE was born.
|
“As our team has grown, so has our passion. We are artists and makers. Doers and thinkers. Number-crunchers and donut-munchers. With “mud” in our hands and love in our hearts, the chance to make a difference is our inspiration to create something beautiful.”
Through their partnership with Water for Good, every product you purchase provides one week of clean water to someone in need. The Central African Republic is a country in desperate need of hope, love, and basic necessities. Access to safe, clean water has the power to transform communities and save lives. Alongside providing water, their products have become everyday instruments of encouragement and inspiration. In the right hands, a mug becomes a tool for meaningful conversation. On the right wrist, a simple word can take on a powerful significance.

Krochet Kids |
|
NEW!
What started as a hobby to create headwear on the mountains, Krochet Kids quickly grew beyond the trio to incorporate close friends who shared a desire to see Northern Uganda transformed by hook and yarn. Halfway through college, the three founders applied to become a non-profit organization and began crocheting again to sell hats and share their vision for what the team planned to do. The following summer, after countless skype meetings and late nights, they found themselves sitting in a simple brick hut with a group of Ugandan women and bags full of yarn watching the ladies nearly master crocheting before their very eyes. |
“During our summer breaks [of college] we volunteered in various developing nations, hoping to gain a better understanding of the global community in which we lived. It wasn't long before we came to realize how blessed we had been growing up. The desire was planted within us to help. To reach out in love. To make a difference. This is our story."
Through a unique model Krochet Kids Intl. is empowering the women of Northern Uganda and Peru with the assets, skills, and knowledge to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. They provide a job so that women can meet the present needs of their families. They then educate them so that they develop beyond the need for outside aid. And finally, they provide mentorship to help each lady plan a unique and sustainable career path for the future. The result is long lasting and sustainable change.
